We don’t care what you say, velvet paintings are timeless.

Now this is beautiful. It’s a velvet painting that Ron won at our offices Christmas white elephant gift exchange. It now proudly graces the walls of our office.

We can’t make out the signature, so if you by chance know anything about the history of this classic, please share. So far we’ve traced it back to it’s purchase at Saver’s. But we’re sure its history is rich and deep.

(This post is particularly fitting since today is Elvis’ birthday. Velvet Elvis paintings, of course, helped popularize this timeless art form. RIP, Elvis.)
