New Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau web site.
For those who live here, it’s obvious that Boise is a modern, active city that blends urban sophistication with relaxed outdoor fun. But for those who have never visited, that’s not quite that obvious.

So when Rizen was charged with redesign the Boise Convention & Visitors Bureau web site, we knew we had to get this core message out. Still, we couldn’t lose site of the many other purposes the site had to serve. After all, in addition to be a strong promotional site there were many other—sometimes competing—factors that had to be addressed, including the need for the web site to:
• Be easily update-able with details from the hundreds of tourism-related companies in the area.
• Serve the needs of both leisure and business travelers.
• Be a resource for travel journalists, event planners and tour group operators.
• Act as a communications hub for the BCVB’s many industry partners
• And much more…
Our efforts were successful. Though just recently launched, feedback has been tremendous and early reports are that requests for meeting planner and visitor guides are up.
Just as important as how the site looks and functions is what lies “under the hood.” Boise.org gives BCVB complete control over their content (including a calendar, blog, and promotional feature sites). Plus, the site’s innovative myMap functionality is an industry first, allowing visitors to create a custom map not only detail pages, but also from blog posts and calendar events.
The web site integrated a creative direction, dubbed “Boise Is…” that has been successfully implemented across a host of advertising and marketing materials.
