It takes a village (to create our Christmas cards)
Four years ago we made a decision to make a difference with our holiday cards. Instead of spending a bunch of time and money trying to impress clients and other agencies with the world’s most creative card, we decided to open up the design of our card to local children as part of an effort to encourage art in public education.
This year students from three classrooms at Collister Elementary participated. They were asked to draw there “favorite winter activity.” The submissions we got were fabulous! And while we can’t yet reveal the winners (don’t want to spoil the surprise), we can tell you that it was a very difficult choice.
More importantly, we have learned that the donation we provide to the school’s foundation will be used to purchase a document camera — a great tool for future artists!
Thanks to all who participated. For the rest of us, please remember that art is a valuable part of any education: support it.
I completely loved the Christmas card I received from Rizen Creative. It is the one Christmas card I will always keep and show off in the years to come. Thank you.
ReplyDawn, thanks for the kind words. Our holiday card program has been very rewarding for us based on the the variety of art coming from the participants and being able to contribute to art in education at the elementary school level. We always look forward each year to seeing what these kids come up with. Thank you again for the nice feedback, we appreciate it.@Dawn Phipps:
