A Tootsie Pop from the Rizen sucker drawer sparked a flood of memories when Ron found his wrapper had an American Indian shooting a star. “Woohoo!”he thought. “Free candy.”
But it turns out that is a myth.
While many individual candy stores would give you free candy (including the Plaid Pantry in Jeff’s Portland neighborhood and The Tahlequah General Store from Ron’s youth) for finding a star, Tootsie never honored this.
