Just finished up Buyology by Martin Lindstrom. It’s a look at how our neurology affects why we buy and how marketers can use that knowledge to sway consumers.

Lindstrom is clearly a smart guy (something he makes sure you know throughout the book) and Buyology is a good read filled with some good anecdotal and quantitative information. But for the most part, the “big ideas” of this book felt like they had been covered elsewhere. Most notably by Paco Underhill. Then again, this book has been out for awhile, so maybe it us who are lagging behind.

Bottom line? It’s a good read and worthy of Library! check-out status
