Kickstand hosts business book discussion, (mistakenly) asks Jeff to participate.
Kickstand, a local organization dedicated exclusively to helping Idaho’s entrepreneurs and innovators, hosted “Launch After Reading!,” a panel discussion on favorite business books. Rizen’s Jeff Reynolds joined Steve Nipper, Rochelle Delong, Bill Meade and Brandon Wright to discuss their favorite business books.
Goofy business book talk ensued.
While we don’t have a record of the many books that were discussed among the audience, we do have the list of three favorites that the panelists recommended. Here they are:
Steve’s list:
“Getting Things Done” (David Allen)
“The Dip” (Seth Godin)
“The Four Hour Workweek” (Tim Ferris)
Brandon’s list:
“The Go Giver” (John Michael Mann)
“The Dream Manager” (Matthew Kelly)
“Think and Grow Rich” (Napolean Hill)
Rochelle’s list:
“The E Myth” (Michael Gerber)
“Strengths based leadership” (Tom Rath)
“Purple Cow” (Seth Godin)
Bill’s list:
“The Nature of Technology” (W. Brian Arthur)
“4 Steps to Epiphany” (Steven Blank)
“Founders At Work” (Jessica Livingtson)
Jeff’s list:
“Eating the Big Fish” (Adam Morgan)
“Pricing on Purpose” (Ronald Baker…no, not THAT Ron Baker)
“Walt Disney: Triumph of the American Imagination” (Neal Gabler)
