Boise Centre: refreshing an icon.
As Boise’s convention center, Boise Centre (located on the Grove downtown) is responsible for attracting millions of dollars in revenue to Boise by hosting local, regional and national meetings and events of all sizes. After almost 20 years, Boise Centre maintains its reputation for top-notch service and technology. Unfortunately, its logo was beginning to show its age.
That’s where Rizen came in.
We were engaged to help refresh Boise Centre’s identity. After a in-depth discovery meeting with Boise Centre’s staff we uncovered several elements that would be key to the project, including:
1) The new logo needed to reflect the modern comforts, technology and service Boise Centre provides.
2) The trees that fill the grove (and that were part of the existing logo) were a signature element that needed to be maintained.
3) The logo needed to be simple enough to work across a broad range of mediums (from embroidary to signage) AND in conjunction with the logos of organizations the host their events at Boise Centre.
Here are the results of our efforts, including a series of print ads aimed at various market segments. It was a great experience. Big thanks to all the wonderful professionals at Boise Centre whose insights and knowledge contributed to the effort!
You guys really turned that old logo around and brought it into the modern design world. Great job with the print ads as well. Clever and well designed. =)
