Challenges/Goals

The design had to be simple and clean, yet stand out in the busy grocery environment.

Versatility to pair with multiple store banners across the United States; including Albertsons, Safeway, and VONS.

The visual design had to stand out among competitors and establish Albertsons Companies as a leader in online grocery retail.

Delivery / DUG / PickUp Icons & Lockups

A family of icons was established to be used for each branch of the eComm program.

Illustrations

Albertsons Companies champions freshness as a key differentiator that separates their grocery delivery program from their competitors. A subtle texture using produce shapes implies the importance of freshness across all campaign collateral.

In-Store Signage

The signature bold red color paired with fresh, sophisticated yet approachable photography carries across all in-store collateral. Clear iconography serves as efficient wayfinding.

Social Media Ads

Digital and social ads also carried the campaign look and feel. Ads featured content with simple attention-grabbing fresh produce, as well as relatable situations that conveyed the convenience of ordering groceries online.

Outcomes

Albertsons Companies have emerged as an identifiable leader in grocery eCommerce. Since launching this campaign the company has seen an exponential increase in customers ordering groceries online.
